Elf Comes To Old Town Elk Grove

 The city is hosting a FREE holiday special outdoor viewing of the movie, Elf starring Will Ferrell this Saturday, Dec. 12. The movie will be shown on a giant screen on the Old Town Plaza so bring your blanket and lawn chair and experience the magic of Old Town Elk Grove at Merry Movie Night.

The Old Town Plaza is located at 9615 Railroad Street. Pre-movie shenanigans begin at 5 p.m. including a holiday sing-along with our friends from Mix 96 who will be “spreading holiday cheer for all to hear” and a “sELFie station.”  Dress in your best elf attire for the “Elf Yourself Costume Contest” for a chance to win a fantastic holiday prize.

Admission is FREE, but donations of new unwrapped toys will be accepted to benefit local charity projects along with a fun raffle opportunity for those donating to win gift certificates from local businesses like Mikuni, Todo un Poco, Grocery Outlet, Above & Beyond Cakes and more. Snacks representing an elf’s four major food groups – candy, candy canes, candy corn, and syrup - will be available for purchase on site.

The film will begin at 6:30 p.m., weather permitting. Check the city’s Facebook page to confirm plans on the day of the event.
