Superfood Breakfast For The Day
If you're short on time in the morning and need a quick, healthy and energizing breakfast; try this one out! Greek yogurt is an amazing food and goes well with any fruit and granola.
Greek Yogurt and Kiwi Parfait

What You'll Need:
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1-2 drops vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon honey
1 kiwi, sliced
What to Do:
In a small bowl, combine vanilla extract and yogurt. Mix until well blended.
In a glass, layer yogurt mixture, honey, and kiwi slices.
Enjoy! For some extra crunch, top with a classic granola or slivered almonds.
Since this is a new year, many people are making resolutions to eat better and get healthier. What better way then to start that plan off right with better breakfast and something that can give you lots of energy. It's been researched and said many times over, that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Not only does it wake our bodies up but it helps fuel the most important muscle in our our body, the brain. It's been tested and researched that skipping breakfast can cause a lot of effects, one of them being weight gain. When you don't eat breakfast you compensate for hunger by eating more at the next meal.
A good phrase I heard from a close friend, "Think of the body like a furnace, start it up in the morning and keep it burning all day long with small meals throughout the day."
Still thinking about starting a better eating plan, there's better time than the present!
